Securi-Prod Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) 12.8V 20Ah 256Wh Battery

Original price was: R2399,00.Current price is: R1799,00.

Impeccably Lightweight: This LiFePO4 battery is only 1/3 of the weight of Lead Acid which makes it the undisputable choice for RVs, Marine, and Off-Grid Applications when towing or mobility is in consideration. As an upgrade to an older mobility scooter, these things are a game changer. The Securi-Prod range has been designed to replace lead-acid batteries advantageously, by offering quadrupled energy density for an equivalent weight and size. Thanks to its technology, this lithium battery can be installed in any position (vertically, lying on the side, or head down).

The electrical parameters of the Securi-Prod 12V-20Ah lithium battery are compatible in all respects with those of an AGM lead battery of 12V. In the vast majority of cases, the charging system can be kept the same and no additional accessories are required to perform the replacement.

Description

Securi-Prod Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) 12.8V 20AH 256Wh Battery with a Built-in BMS | Perfect for RV, Solar, Marine, Overland, large alarm installs, and Off-Grid Applications

This is the best bang for your buck option if you work on a pure cost per Ah.

Yes, the upfront cost is a bit more than a typical SLA battery, but it’s well worth it because you get nearly all 20Ah of the LiFePO4 battery, whereas with SLA you will get less than half its advertised capacity otherwise you will break your lead acid battery. Here is a good explanation of why lithium is better than lead acid in almost any measurable metric including cost.

We have seen exceptional uptake of this battery with Golf Players using the Electric Golf Trolley & Gold Buggies they typically take a 50Ah 12V deep cycle battery, this battery competes in that space because a 50Ah lead acid battery will give you 15 to 18Ah usable Ah, if you want to preserve the lifespan of your battery for a year or longer, versus this battery will give you 16Ah and last you 3000 cycles ( decades ).

This battery is in the same form factor as the traditional 18Ah Lead Acid batteries making them especially suited as an upgrade option for your CCTV and Alarm system, which often times has an external 18Ah battery powered PSU.

Series & Parallel Connection

The voltage of the final assembly can be from 12V and up to 48V (for 4 packs assembled in series), which meets the needs of almost all electrical applications in traction, solar or wind storage, marine, robotics, and trolleys, etc.

A maximum number of batteries connected:

  • In Series: 4
  • In Parallel: 8

Note:

  • To increase voltage, the series connection method is used. For example: 12V + 12V = 24V. When connected in series the capacity remains the same.
  • To increase capacity, a parallel connection method is used. For example: 20Ah + 20Ah= 40Ah. When connected in parallel the voltage remains the same.
  • Series & Parallel combinations are NOT Recommended.

Cautions:

  • Do not submerge the battery in water.
  • Do not expose the battery to an open flame or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not crush or disassemble.
  • Avoid short circuits.
  • Store at 50% capacity, recharge every 3 months if not in use.
